Mcmahon line

The McMahon Line is a boundary line drawn between Tibet and British India in 1914 by Sir Henry McMahon, the foreign secretary of British India at the time. The line was intended to serve as a boundary between Tibet and British India, and was negotiated between the British and the Tibetan government.

However, the McMahon Line was not recognized by the Chinese government, which claimed sovereignty over Tibet. This dispute over the boundary line led to the Sino-Indian War in 1962, which resulted in China taking control of Aksai Chin and other disputed territories.

Today, the McMahon Line continues to be a point of contention between China and India, with both countries claiming sovereignty over the region.
